Heck Coupling Styrene with Aryl Halides Catalyzed by Palladium Complexes in Biphasic Media
* corresponding author, e-mail: [email protected] ; tel : (216) 74276400 ; fax : (216) 74274437 ABSTRACT: In this work, we have studied the effect of the halide nature in the coupling of styrene with halide benzene catalysed by palladium acetate or chloride. The activation by a catalyst of phase-transfer type Aliquat-336 improves the reactivity in N, N-dimethylformamide-water mixture. The...
متن کاملNickel-catalyzed intermolecular codimerization of acrylates and alkynes.
The linear codimerization of acrylates and alkynes to produce 1,3-dienes is successfully demonstrated using a nickel catalyst in association with 2-aminopyridine as an additive.
متن کاملRhodium-catalyzed linear codimerization and cycloaddition of ketenes with alkynes.
A novel rhodium-catalyzed linear codimerization of alkyl phenyl ketenes with internal alkynes to dienones and a novel synthesis of furans by an unusual cycloaddition of diaryl ketenes with internal alkynes have been developed. These reactions proceed smoothly with the same rhodium catalyst, RhCl(PPh(3))(3), and are highly dependent on the structure and reactivity of the starting ketenes.
متن کاملPalladium-catalyzed three-component reaction of N-tosylhydrazone, norbornene and aryl halide.
A palladium-catalyzed three-component reaction of N-tosylhydrazone, norbornene and aryl halide has been demonstrated. In this reaction, an intermolecular Heck-type reaction occurs, which is followed by the alkyl palladium carbene migratory insertion process. This transformation provides an efficient and convenient methodology for the double functionalization of norbornene with good to excellent...
متن کاملAryl-aryl bond formation by transition-metal-catalyzed direct arylation.
The biaryl structural motif is a predominant feature in many pharmaceutically relevant and biologically active compounds. As a result, for over a century1 organic chemists have sought to develop new and more efficient aryl-aryl bond-forming methods. Although there exist a variety of routes for the construction of aryl-aryl bonds, arguably the most common method is through the use of transition-...
